We don’t keep your videos
- Your upload is deleted as soon as it's processed, and within two hours regardless.
- The finished video is deleted 24 hours after it's ready.
- The transcript is never written to our database. Ask for captions and the subtitle file is deleted with your video.
- We don't watch your videos, and nothing is used to train anything.
Transcription is done by OpenAI’s Whisper API, which means the audio track is sent to them as part of processing. It’s all written out in the privacy policy.

The usual questions
What exactly is a Zap?
One Zap processes up to 60 seconds of video, rounded up. A 30-second clip and a 60-second clip both cost 1 Zap; a 90-second clip costs 2.
Do unused Zaps roll over?
No — your allowance resets at the start of each billing month. The free Zaps you get at signup are one-time and don't reset.
Do you keep my videos?
No. We store your video temporarily while we process it, then delete the original, the extracted audio and the transcript. Your finished video is deleted from our servers 24 hours after it's ready, so download it when you get it.
What happens if processing fails?
Your Zaps are refunded automatically. You're only ever charged for a video that finishes successfully.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel from Manage billing and you'll keep your plan until the end of the period you've already paid for.
Can I get captions too?
Yes — tick the box before you start and we'll burn word-by-word captions into the video, in whichever of the four styles you pick. You also get a subtitle file, so if a name comes out wrong you can fix it in your own editor instead of re-rendering.
What kind of videos work best?
Talking-head footage — a person speaking to camera. We listen for speech and cut the silence between it, so anything with clear audio works well.
