Why it works for this

Subtitles, not captions

The Subtle style is preset: small, low, white on a thin outline, no word highlighting. It reads as subtitles rather than as a look.

An SRT you can actually edit

One line per cue, broken at the phrase rather than at a word count, timed to the cut video. Open it in any editor, fix a name, save.

Timed to the edit

The subtitles are generated after the silences are cut, on the final timeline, so they line up with the video you're actually posting rather than the one you uploaded.

Questions

Can I get the SRT without burning subtitles into the video?

The SRT is produced whenever captions are on. If you want a clean video and a separate SRT, process with captions on, download both, and use the SRT with a clean export from your editor — or simply process the video twice, once with and once without.

What languages are supported?

The transcription handles most major languages, but the punctuation hint that helps it break lines well is tuned for English. Other languages work; line breaks may be a little rougher.

How do I fix a misheard word?

Edit the SRT. The burned-in version can't be changed after rendering — that's the nature of burned-in text — but the SRT is plain text and every subtitle tool opens it.
