Cuts between words, never through them

Every word is transcribed with its exact timing before anything is cut. The edit lands in the silence, so no syllable is ever clipped.

Keeps the rhythm of a conversation

The default setting trims long pauses without making anyone sound rushed. If you want a tighter clip, switch to Tight and every pause goes.

Questions

Will it cut a pause that's there for effect?

Only if it's long enough to count as dead air. On the Gentle setting anything under about half a second is left alone, which keeps deliberate beats in. Balanced and Tight are progressively less forgiving.

Does it work on a video with two people in it?

Yes. Silence is detected on the audio track as a whole, so as long as someone is speaking the moment is kept. It works best on clips where the camera is on the speakers rather than on B-roll.

Can I keep the full-length episode intact?

InstaZap is for clips, not whole episodes: the free tier takes videos up to 60 seconds and Pro up to 10 minutes. Cut the segment you want to post first, then upload that.

What happens to my audio quality?

The audio is re-encoded once at 192 kbps AAC and levelled to the loudness social platforms expect (-16 LUFS), so a quiet recording comes out at a normal level. Nothing is compressed or pitch-shifted.
